Mark – We need to have your library files uploaded to the ASHOWCASE Forum rather than the AMMEDIA Forum. We opened ASHOWCASE to hold the image files created with Autodesk programs as the library files here are getting very close to full and have to be reserved for program type files. Would you please re-upload the following files you uploaded today to the ASHOWCASE forum: SWORD.GIF, FAN.GIF, CASKET.GIF, BAT.GIF, BARREL.GIF and ASH.GIF. Lots of people have been getting these requests this weekend. I'm on the road or I could help move them (not a good node where I am). I appreciate your and everyone else's help with this request. It's mentioned in the newsflash and been requested here for a while. Unfortunately we can't get any more space for the libraries. Thanks – Anne

Mark (and all the others who got a similar message): Be sure and include the type of Autodesk software and add ons that you use to create the images you are uploading to the library. Most I can tell but I'm not familiar with some of the add ons. They should be mentioned in your description and in teh keywords. Thanks – Anne

Hi again Anne, hopefully you guys didn't delete those image, 'cause I already erased them, and didn't think about it, sorry about that. Hopefully Nik or Jonas could move them for you. Sorry again. Mark.

Mark – There are now 18 images (gifs) in the library here instead of ASHOWCASE. Since I'm on the road this week, they will have to wait until I'm back at a more reliable node – IF you are unable to reup them yourself which I would prefer if possible. They aren't erased but in a holding area. Please don't upload any more here <G>. Nik and Jonas and others have to take their on line time for answering technical matters. Thanks – Anne

Hi Anne, ehh, ahh, sorry, I just uploaded ONE more, ok, that was the last one. I just don't understand it, I STILL don't see the ashowcase listed!, has anyone else been having this problem ??? I've logged on with Telix (DOS based comm program) and when I do a list of the libraries, there is NO Ashocase. This is really depressing. If anyone out there can tell me what I am doing wrong PLEASE jump in here. Thanks. Mark.

>> when I do a list of the libraries, there is NO Ashocase. << Showcase is a seperate Autodesk forum. If you GO AUTODESK, you will have 4 selections: AMMEDIA (here), ACAD, ARETAIL, and ASHOWCASE. You can just GO ASHOWCASE to get to it. All new uploads will go to Library 1: New Files, where people can see what's new. After a few weeks, files get merged to the appropriate library sections. ASHOWCASE isn't a library in this forum, it's an entire forum itself. Rather than GO AMMEDIA, use GO ASHOWCASE and upload there. — James — Choreo Motion —

HELLO! Geez, James!, you do have mighty powers!, I'm sorry to say, but lots of people were not explaining this to me …. holly cow, well that does explain it, thanks for a BIG TIP, … uhhhh Sysop Anne, are you out there in computer land, James has jus solved my problem, I didn't know if was a totally different forum, I thought is was just one of the renamed libraries. Thanks very much James. Mark.

Mark – I also pass my thanks on to James and the others who gave you the clue about ASHOWCASE being a seperate forum not a library <VBG> (very big grin). As we have discussed in email, I will not be able to do anything with those 20 files until I'm back on a stable node. HOPEFULLY (BIG HINT) you will reupload them yourself and then I can cancel them here in this Forum. Most of my time has to be spent in the forum on message management , not moving new library files. <G> (smaller grin). Remember that the other GO words we discussed (ACAD, ARETAIL) are also forums and not sections of this forum. I know it is confusing – lots to learn – and I learn every time I turn on the ON switch! hI Anne, ahh, just got your message you left 12 mins ago, well, thanks, I was really confused, but no longer, now my software IS WORKING! yahoo!, anyway, again I'm sorry about the uploads, I did delete ALL images … I cannot reupload them! ouch, anyway, … it seems that someone has moves about 6 or 7 of those on-line. One thing though, are we forbidden to upload ANYTHING to the 3DSTUDIO library ? meaning… ALL uploads MUST go to the ashowace forum ????, I just downloaded a file called coke.zip, an image done with 3ds, it is a brand new upload and I found it in the 3dstudio section….. ok, just asking…. if you can clear this up for me… ahhh watch that bump in the road…. poof!, PLEASE don't try to type while driving! haha, bye! Mark.

Mark – I upped some of the library files but not all. I try very hard to get all library files released to the public libraries within 24 hours or less from a member uploading them. Yours as you know, will be much longer than that since I need a more reliable node to do the transfer work. There are so many of them that I also will be doing them only a bit at a time. No, not all images go to the ASHOWCASE forum. The one with COKE.ZIP was released here because it is part of an ongoing discussion on wrapping lables around bottles with 3DS. If an upload is an IPAS routine, directly related to software discussion/problems, they are released here. As time goes on the ones that are images only will be moved by me to ASHOWCASE. It's hard to walk the exact line on what goes where <G> If a member finds that I've moved one that shouldn't all they have to do is tell me! Anne
