The catalogue is not the only thing which is a bit thin on the ground, the specs of the PC's in it are a bit low to. A Pentium with 8-meg is a bit of joke. The staff in the Wycombe branch are definately not clued-up. I asked how much a P-75 was with 32-meg, the reply was that they could not do this deal at the moment but were waiting for the engineer to come in and sort things out. I hope when they do start selling Amigas, they can do a better job.The Amiga may be out of the water, but it by no means home and dry yet. Chris

Well the problem is that i can sort of understand him buying it….. No don`t worry i`m not a closet peecee lover its just that he is a contract programmer and requires something portable 2 work with.. His psion series 3a isn`t really any good 4 this particular task (although its a lovely machine) so he decided 2 buy a portable 486 DX2 66 with 12 mb and a TFT screen…. When a 386 SX16 with monochrome screen would have suficed…. Its a strange world that we live in.. cya Dave from the UK <wish i was on AP 🙁 >

There is really no need to get so defensive about using a PC (I'm using one at the moment), they are great machines. I'm almost tempted to buy one to play Doom2 & Magic Carpet. The main thing stopping me though, is that I was hoping when 4000's start production again the price comes down a bit and I'll try and scrape together a bit of cash to get one. Incidently what Amiga system are you running. The point you made about a portable computer made me think, it's about time we in the Amiga community had a portable incarnation of our beloved machine. With a bit of luck Escom will consider moving in this direction. P'raps we should drop Escom a few subtle hints. Chris
