Wasn't that demo on Amiga Format not supposed to be able to run off the hard
disk? – I think I remember reading it somewhere. If you buy the spell check and
manual of them it gaves an install program, I think.

You may be right, but as it sits it's not enough of a demo to give one a
real feel for the program. I'm going to try assigning the libraries to where
they are on the harddrive (in a separate directory) but I suspect I'll be
buying the full program sooner or later unless someone else comes out with a
superior wp SOON….

Just for info I managed to get the Amiga Format demo version of Wordworth to
run from a hard disk, the only problems I had were that it expected the fonts
to reside in WWFonts: on the Ram disk. Getting the libraries assigned correctly
was not too much of a problem. Also you were stuck with the limited CG fonts
installed because they were installed to RAM:WWfonts and I could not figure out
a way to change this since they did not supply the install fonts program (not
suprising really).
Using the utility Snoopdos 3 was very usefull in achieving this since you could
see what Wordworth was looking for when run.

I'd appreciate it if you'd explain how you did it. Putting the fonts
(WWFonts) in RAM: isn't a problem, but I can't figure out how to tell WW to
find the libraries! I copied them to libs:, didn't work, reassigned libs: to
where the WW libs were, didn't work…sigh….
It's looking more and more like I'll be picking up this package, but I would
like to play with it a bit before I do. Any help gratefully appreciated! 🙂

Since I did this for a friend, some time ago, on his A500 + GVP harddrive I
have'nt got the info readily to hand. From what I remember I copied the
following directories (WWFiles,WWTools,Catalogs) from the Wordworth AFC disk to
sys: and the WWFonts directory to RAM:.
Try that and let me know how you get on.
