HELP GUYS!! (I'm Posting this message in both AmigaUser and Vend – cause I downed it from here and I want to be sure Mike sees it in his forum. Plus I need to get a quick answer for this from anyone who can help.) I just downloaded "Organiser" (and at 2400b it was a 45min download) and the installer will not run because I don't have 'SYS:Locale'. Mike – your Readme file says that system requirements go down to OS2.04, well thats my system. Have you forgotten that Locale and such other related stuff is not available for OS 2.04, they were added with OS2.1 (I believe). The installer will fail after attempting to add a line to User-Startup. It finds that SYS:Locale is not assigned and so wants to make that assignment before going further with the install. Here's a snip-it from the installer Log; ******* Installation Log ******* User Level: EXPERT Pretend: No Run Program: "assign OrganiserInstall: """ Copy contents of drawer "OrganiserInstall:Utils" to "OrgUtils:". Copy file "delete" to "Ram:". Create New Directory: "Sys:Locale" Writing to s:user-startup ==================== start of file ==================== RUN >NIL: sys:RexxMast …."MY startup file" cut from this message… ;BEGIN Organiser Assign >NIL: LOCALE: SYS:Locale ;END Organiser ===================== end of file ===================== Run Program: "Assign LOCALE: SYS:Locale" COPYFILES: Problem with source file/drawer in line 1267. Error not Trapped!!! So – what do you think, how can I get this program installed??? I want so very much to see this demo, have been trying since Thursday to download it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get LOCALE. Anyone want to give it to me… ;). Here I planned on spending the weekend looking over Organizer! Now I'll have to do yard work 🙁 And July 31, 1995 is rapidly approaching… 🙂 Thanks OnLine since 1982 Roy Pahnke – Casper WY

Roy: I'll check out the installer problem or ask Digita. Organizer comes with Locale.library for 2.04 users, so don't worry about that. It's probably just an assign problem as you noted. I don't normally test releases on 2.04 machines now, so it's possible that both Digita and us missed it. Cheers, Michael @ Soft-Logik Publishing PS: to all who download the demo: you don't need to format a floppy disk as instructed in the readme file included with the demo. Please skip that step.
