Hope someone can help me with Shapeshifter.
I downloaded both the original and the update and have tried to use it. I
get a message that Shapeshifer ROM is corrupted or not available.
1. where can I get the ROMs for Shapeshifter ?? Can I use the ROM image I have
for the Emplant ?
2. All the read mes are in some other language than English. I can only speak
english and profane. Been having to use the latter quite a lot lately <G> How
do I get some docs in english ??
Thanks in advance

From an actual Mac. You transfer the program "SaveROM" that comes with SS over
to a Mac. After executing the program, it dumps a ROM image file to the Mac
that you transfer back to the Amiga.
"2. All the read mes are in some other language than English."
The docs are there in AmigaGuide format. Look for a file called
ShapeShifter_E.guide, with the E indicating English <g>. I think even the
README's are written in both German and English on the same file.

The "readme" file is in English, if you downloaded v. 2.0 from CIS. (You're
still talking about Shapeshifter, right?

I downloaded SHPSFT20.LHA and SS20K2.LHA My read-me is in german. Another
possible problem is I don't have "AmigaGuide" so I think that may be why I am
not able to run the demo.
Guess I need to look into that first.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate the concern.

The first half of your readme file is in german. The second half is in english.
And you can find AmigaGuide in the AmigaUser libraries.

I don't get it…my readme file is all in english. I downloaded V.2.0 just a
week or so ago…maybe changes have been made recently.

It tells you in the guide files and the newer readme what the german names
stand for,so it doesn't matter
Look at the second half of the README.

Well, I'm confused. I downloaded SHPSFT20.LHA from this forum (emulators
section), and the README is in English, as is the order form. There are some
german and italian files in the Catalogs directory. There are AmigaGuide files
in both German and English. (Btw, you can read an AmigaGuide file with an ascii
text reader, it's just a little confusing.)
