Does the tape backup come with software and an interface card? Instructions of
any sort?

Dave,
No software comes with the tape drive. It is in the original box withn the
manual and power cord. It can be used with any SCSI device that supports scsi
direct commands. It can be used with Quarterback, Amiback, Tapeworm FS and the
hdbackup program that shipped with Workbench 2.0 and higher through the use of
a mountlist entry.
