Thanks so much for your help with the uuencoding/decoding problem.
Unfortunately, I am an IBM user and the uudecoders for this platform seem to be
incompatible with the AMIGA format. Short of borrowing an amiga from someone,
I can't think of to how I can get to the archive contents. I hate to give up
so easily though. Do you know of any cross platform decoders? Thanks again.

Going the IBM to Amiga route there are none. This is not the case going the
other way. Either way, there should be some uudecoders for the IBM world. I
personally do not know of any (I do all my decoding on my Amiga and use a null
modem cable to transfer what files I have to to my clone). You could try to
find one using the IBMFF option or check in one of the IBM
communication/application forums. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

Thanks. Forget I brought the whole subject up, anyway.
UUencoded files are compatible across all platforms, meaning that you can
encode/decode anything. Once it's been decoded, then you need something that's
compatible with your system. For example, if the UUdecoded file turns out to
be an LHA archive, you need an LHA program for your platform to decompress the
archive and extract the files.
Well then, the file is completely trashed. Ok. Well then, although futile,
your help has been appreciated.

No, it has not been trashed. There are uudecoders for IBM platforms as well
as LHA format decompressors. If the original download has not been altered
(and I suspect it has not) then it's just a simple case of getting the proper
decompressor programs and letting them do thier magic to the file in question.
Specifically what you are going to need is a uudecoder program and a LHA
decompressor. I did a little searching for you in the IBMSys Forum. I found a
number of progs:
UUDecoders – ZRFW.ZIP
AAAUUE.ZIP
LHA decompressors – LHE101.EXE
This is of course an abreviated list. There were 1 or 2 more UUDecoder
programs in the IBMSys forum and about another 40 more LHA extracters. The
above were the first ones I came across.

Noooo, I tried that. I'm pretty sure that I have no idea what to do with the
file. Anyway, if its uuencoded, then the IBM versions can't decode it.
Why don't you post the first lines of it here and we take a look?
