#OS 3.x and 24bit cards

>>They don't really work together. The toaster and all supporting software
expect the Amiga to be in a video compatible, standard Amiga mode, like NTSC
hi-res or hi-res lace. so that they can operate alike regardless of which
variety of custom chips is in the host Amiga, they all tend to do many jobs
directly in chip RAM or with the processor, or with very stock calls to the
chipset.
In particular those items done directly in Chip RAM are missed by most
Workbench emulators, and also the tricks where a control panel popup is
actually a mini-screen layered over the full-size screen, as are the TPaint
control panels and the color panel in Lightwave.
Other than that, they are not inimical to each other.<<
Thanks for the answer I guess the question is will they coexist??
Can I Paint, and then use my fine Toaster products… Not hvaing full screen
painting is killing me on some jobs.
You can have both cards in the machine at the same time, but you will have to
reset preferences for the proper screen mode prior to running the Toaster, if
you have been using the hi-res non-interlace modes.
Hi John –
The best way to paint and user Toaster is with AlphaPaint. Every one that has
it says it's the best paint for Amiga Video going. Uses the Toaster's Program
Out display for realtime painting, and uses the Toasters fonts also.
There's a demo tape if you're interested.

Hank, I'd be real interested in seeing a demo tape. I'd be even really happy to
see it used by a user somewhere near Philly… know anyone?
or is there a demo version? Been thinking about photoshop.

Pass along your address and the tape will be in the mail. Never had an unhappy
customer yet, and some paid more than this May special.
