1. Install each on a different partition. 2. Install the Toaster first 3. Make
a duplicate of your LIBS file and label it LIBS2 4. Install the Flyer software
5. You can run the Flyer just like you do now 6. Before running the Toaster, go
into CLI (The Shell) and type "Assign Libs: Libs2" (without the quotes of
course) and hit return 7. Run the Toaster just like you used to. 8. If you want
to run the Flyer again after the above, do a warm reboot first.
The above procedure gets around the problem caused by Toaster and Flyer using
different versions of a couple of libraries. We install almost all of our
systems using the above approach because there are many instances when the old
Toaster is preferable to the Flyer.

That's exactly the kind of detail I was hoping to get.
I didn't have time (or the energy) to install 4.0.3 over the weekend and now
I'm gladd I didn't. Be a lot easier to do it clean with your instructions in
hand.

If you just get the 3.1 cg that wsa recompiled with the new libs you don't have
to do any of that, inclucing keeping them on seperate partition. Just put the
nedw cg in Toaster drawer. All you have to do when you want to rung 3.1/3.5 is
exit Flyer, start Toaster.

BTW, did Gene ever look at that graphic to see what I did wrong when I saved
it? Or is ADpro just showing some creeping incompatibility around the edges?

Yeah, the Toaster and Alpha Pait loaded it fine – but ADPro didn't much like
it. Guess they jes ain't a keepin' up…

Nt recomplied the 3.1 CG so it would use the 4.0 libraries. Therefore, install
it in place of the old 3.1 CG in the 3.1 drawer and you'll be able to run 3.1
and then go to 4.0, without the library switch and reboot.
