Chuck, Just thought I'd complicate your life a little more. I've modified one of Arnie Cachelin's AREXX scripts to allow me to turn on Flyer recording with an ICON and thus avoiding the normal clip record screen (a second script turns off recording and creates an icon). The advantages of this script are that it allows me to do things like record text flying in over incoming video (a la old Toaster overlay) and to permenantly record Chroma FX'd video so I can put titles and overlays over it. It would be nice to be able to do this to an already recorded Flyer clip and to thus achieve a degree of layering too. THE PROBLEM IS: when you start recording it turns OFF both Flyer drives. Could you possibly get one of your Software Gurus to see if it wouldn't be possible to allow playback of one drive to continue while recording to the other drive (the AREXX script requires you to specify which drive you are recording on)? That is, NOT turn off FlyerA when you turn ON recording to FlyerB. I realize that this is undoubtedly a safety feature for most recording work but strictly speaking it is not absolutely necessary. Perhaps this is already possible and there is a hidden command like a Shift-Shift combination that will permit this to happen? Please pass this on to someone who might be able to help.
