I'd like to get some details on how to use the distributed rendering feature in LW PC. I read the screamernet section of the manual, but it still refers to having to have screamernet software. It also refers to other copies of Lightwave on the other machines, does this mean that we have to copy the layout program onto the remote machine? Thank You, Bruce

The distributed rendering feature is not implemented in the preliminary PC version you are working with, and when you receive the finished version you will also receive revised documentation.

Will the distibuted rendering features of LW 4.0 work without a ScreamerNet like product? Or will there be a site licence? ….John

It seems that Screamernet will just be absorbed into Lightwave, released as part of the LW software. This may not be true for Amiga/Toaster/Lightwave, perhaps only true for stand-alone versions. Chuck, correct me if I'm wrong. Steve Image Dynamics – Chicago

The "ScreamerNet-like product" will be part of the package, but some issues on sites/cpus etc, are in discussion.
