#REVERSE ACTION ON FLYER

I'm aiming this at everyone just because it is very general.
If you are trying to do reverse action, a program called Hollywood Effects will
let you do just that.
It is slow. About the same speed as the Flyer handles slow motion, but at least
you can do it.
Hollywood Effects has a post processing effect that just lets you take a video
clip and process it.
What you do is to select the clip and give the command to run it in reverse.
What makes it so slow is that HFX pulls it into the Flyer via Toaster Paint,
processes it through Lightwave and then saves it to the Flyer Drives via
Toaster Paint. However, since Lightwave now creates an ANIM using RGB files,
HFX is planning to upgrade their program to run to the Flyer Drives via
Lightwave saving at least one step.
If anyone has come up with a better way, please let me know.

I would think there's a better way than thru Hollyweird FX. I tried to alter
the Flyer Clip Copy arrex script, but since it was my first try at rexxing
anything it didn't work. But couldn't you just program it to copy the frames
from the last frame backwards to the first frame into a new clip?
It should be easy. Someone please post it for us if it can be done.

I asked NewTek if it would be possible to make a clip run backwards by using
Lightwave. Have the clip as a background and run the clip with the high numbers
to low number.
NewTek told me that it would not work. I did try it myself and could not get it
to work.
Maybe someone who knows how to write arrex scripts could come up with
something.

Seemed to remember that Hollywood F/X had a render option of reverse. If they
can do it, it should be AREXXable.

It just seems so simple… If you can pull a single frame from a clip to make
a flyer still, you certainly can pull a series of frames in reverse order and
append to a flyer clip.
