Greetings,
This may be a duplicate message, just spoke with your switchboard and
they informed me that your CompuServe was off-line yesterday soooo, here goes;
I have a client that I recently produced a video for. They have made a
request to me to put a frame from the video into their new sales catolog. A
frame-store written to a floppy is of course no problem, but how then would a
print shop read an amiga floppy ? I do have a copy of art department
professional, so I can change the file into several different formats but am
not fimiliar with which one would work the best. Any suggestions ?

Best to ask the print shop what format is best for them of the formats that
ADPro can produce. You can output the file on an IBM formatted disk and then
they'll be able to read it. It's part of the OS with 2.1 or greater.

On several occasions I had to take LW renders to print. Most printers
can accept EPS (Encapsulated Post Script) files in PC format. The way I
accomplished this was thru Professional Page (a desktop publishing program for
Amigas). Pro Page imports the IFF RGB files. At this point you can size or
crop the pic any way you want. Then in the print menu, instead of outputting to
a printer, you just output the EPS file to disk. If it is a black and white,
then you output just the one file. If it is color you end up with 4 files (
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black). Be sure to use crop marks for four color
work. I've worked with 3 different printers, and never had a problem.
