Jerry, In just a few sentences, tell me what Flight Gear will do. When I first read Frank's message, I was under the impression that it allowed some kind of control between the tape decks and the Flyer. I don't need this and my decks wouldn't work with any kind of outside controller. They have the big 45 pin plugs. But, if it drives the software to do things that you can't do with the Flyer interface and does it better, then I may want to try it. Fred

Fred: Without the brochures in front of me, all I can remember is that it batch digitizes. Frank or someone else probably has a better grasp of it than I do. Jerry

Hank, or any other flite gear users…. Does flite gear get the time code from the Flyer RS422 ports ? I assume it does, and only needs the other controllers to issue commands to the VCRs. Too bad the Flyer RS422 ports can't be used to control the VCRs. This makes for a really kludge system… But hey, if it works…. Just too many vendors and too many software pieces running …. but hey, that's what makes Amiga and Arexx so great …. right?
