>You have probably reviewed it already but if not I will put in my plug for a
system here. You might want to look at the ///FAST Video Machine Lite ( Linear
Version rund around $2,500 ) I probably hold a biased opinion since I run a
Video Machine ( full fledged version ) but I realy think it is an unbeatable
product for the price.<
No, I haven't :(((–but, boy, I wish I could!!! Everything I've heard about
Fast's Video Machine Lite is enough to make me break the 10th
Commandment–repeatedly…<G>
Sadly, doesn't look like I'll get a chance now–at least for VIDEO. I just
found out they've been sold to Hachette, which means I'm not even sure *I'll*
be writing for them after this…
Best,
Tim

Well I tell ya what…I will write them and tell them what a great guy you
are and how I miss all the wounderfull information I get from your articles.
Then I will treaten them with bad publicity and all that stuff. Then shurly
after a guy with my kinda clout gets through with them you will have a life
long position !!!.
Or of course they could always say "Michael WHO????? from Falcon
WHAT??????…..Listen budy quit harassing us or we'll call the FBI!!!" Come to
think of it I don't have any clout so thats probably what they would do. :-))))

"Hello–Ed here is hacking video footage in handy byte-sized clips for our new
Bartles & James nonlinear editing studio. Thank you for your support…" <VBG>
Seriously, Mike–thanks! OTOH, given that VIDEO's going over to home theatre,
I'm not sure I'd be that interested (or capable)… OTOOH, if they *do* decide
to also deal w/multimedia & DTV, I'm suddenly VERY interested…<g>
Best,
Tim
(here's hoping!)

Read in USA Today that the number one demand job in this decade is "Multimedia
programmer/producer'. Salaries can run to $100,000, and the estimated current
demand is around 39,000 people world wide and climbing.

Well, then–I guess I'd better start fiddling around w/all the multimedia
software I've got on my computer (and haven't had much time to learn!)… <g>
