Hi everyone! I'm writing an article for CompuServe Magazine on the DTV Forum. I would like to talk to you about the Forum and how it has helped you solve problems/share information/answer questions in regard to desktop video. Additionally, I'm looking for different examples of how DTV is used — from the home user to the professional — and from wedding videos to creative business usage such as video conferencing, sales, marketing and so forth. I'm also looking for people who would be willing to address the bigger issues of DTV, such as where it's headed and how it will impact conventional multimedia as we know it today. Please drop me a line and let me know if you're willing to be intereviewed. My deadline is in a couple of weeks and I would like to talk to as many people as possible. Hope to hear from some of you. Thanks! Pat Hadler

Pat, I'm marketing director for TAO Media Systems. I find that many people are helped through dialog with our staff about questions they need answered before buy a product. As marketing director I see this activity as crucial to TAO's sales work, although it would not be fair to call it advertising–its just good business releations and support for our product. Recently I started topic in both DTV forum and Broadcast Professional forum, inviting anyone to post questions about our editing control systems (our application to start a TAO forum was either not completed by our office or was turned down, I don't know yet). The point is, participation of manufacturers should be viewed as vital and not as *attempts at free advertising*. Gary Meyer
