I've had some conversations and seen some newsletter type comments suggesting editing to a 3/4" tape system. Thus allowing less generational loss when editing and then copying again. I'm assuming used equipment here. Any opinions from "real" experience out there? I realize I have to end up making a final VHS tape someway at the end. But thought I might have more flexibility and sustaining of quality going 3/4" in between. Stay away form 3/4" unless you are in the business and need it for customers. It would be like investing in tube equipment. It had its day, but that day has passed. Even Sony manufacturers S-VHS now. Keith

Investing in tubes… I agree. I was making the same decision over a year ago and was able to scrape enough together to go with the JVC EditDesk system. Great System. It has it's own way of Timecoding that is a great invention and will be compatible later when we expand. Zeddock Miller

Right, that seems to be the consensus of those I've heard from. Thanks for the advice. Dick
