Could someone suggest a product to get my windows based computer signal out to video (composite or S-VHS). My budget is in the $700-$1,000 range. The one product I have been offered is made by Digital Creations, any comments on this? Bill Ines

You might want to take a look at RocGen VGA Production Card. JDR sells 'em @ 1-800-538-5000 ($~350).

The best is a card made my Magni. The best for the money seems to be the AverKey 3.

You can reach them at (503) 626-8400. They offer three products currently for PC to video conversion… The MagniCoder: An external box for working with laptop or desktop computer systems. It will convert up to 16.7 million colors. The Desktop CG: An internal ISA card which will convert up to 32000 colors. It is software controlled. The VGA Producer Pro: In Internal ISA card which will convert up to 256 colors. It is fully RS-170A/SMPTE 170M compliant. It uses a hardware box to control the unit, no TSR programs are necessary. It also has adjustable timing. Prices for these products range from $600 to about $2000. Take a look at VGAPRO.TXT in Library 2 of this forum. It was the best I found when I was looking at this type of hardware. James Bell Jr. — Multimedia Contributor – CompuServe
