Rendere:300 dpi woes.
5 messages in this thread
Since the book jacket will be 10"x8" – I multiplied by 300 and got an image
resolution of 3000×2400. When I input that into the renderer configuration and
start to render the image – it automatically changes it to 640×480.
What do I need to do to get the renderer to render at 3000×2400?

In order to render a disk file that's larger than your display device, you need
to turn on the No Display button before rendering (or select a Null display
device).

Thanks Jack.
What I ended up doing was changing the RES 3 line in the 3ds.set to the
resolution I wanted and then rendered it with no output to the screen. That
seemed to work and I had a 15Mb file 🙁

Judy-
I think you need to set your render output to "null."
In the 3D Editor, Renderer/setup/configure
This should bring up your "Device Configuration Menu"
Change your "Display" configuration from your present drivers (probably
vibrant) to NULL.
You wont be able to see the rendering progress but you will get a file you can
bring in Photoshop to OOH! and AHHH! over.

Thanks for the tip.
