#Hicolor Hilight Faces…

I just installed Rel4C1 from my local friendly Autodesk MM Dealer, and I seem to have lost the ability to highlight single faces with commands like Display/user view/align and select/face/single while in hicolor or trucolor. This is a problem, 'cause LenzFX needs more than 256… Am I missing something? I'm running a DS64PCI in a Micron P90… Thanks Eric Peterson

Drop the Display color back to 256 in the 3DSVIB config. That should do it.

Hi Eric, << Am I missing something? >> Nope. You may want to have seperate 3ds.set files. At this time, you have to exit 3ds and restart 3ds with an appropriate 3ds.set file with either 256 colors or truecolor, based on your needs.

I too have this problem of vertices not highlighting when I'm in truecolor mode (needed by KPT). In fact the blue pick box disappears. I use the vibrant driver that ships w/ 3DS4 and have d/l'ed the most recent driver from their BBS. Are you guys at AD aware of this bug and how much frustration it causes in the user? Is there a fix in the works? Thanks for the support! -ej – Ernie Jackson, Written 19-May-1995 @ 07:23:46 Using: Windows NavCIS PRO 1.6
