I have what is probably an unaswerable quesion. How does one figure out what kind of BBS one's accessing to see if THOR will work. The sysops of board don't know & the tech support of software CO didn't know what I was talking BBS, QWK BBS, HIPPO etc). The BBS I'm accessing has MAC/IBM Windoz GUI software (FirstClass Server), but I can get on with a term set to v100. It will be LD come June so I'd like a fast OLR, or this just a dream <G>. Gracia, I am not sure what you are talking about. but I will give it a try. If you want to know what type of package you are downloading you will need to check and see with the BBS you are calling. Most of the BBSs I call are QWK and you will find that option when you set up how you want to recive the forum mail. \|/ @-@ Robert Griffith — San Diego — —oOo-(o)-oOo—————————————————— Surfing the threads with AutoPilot and Amiga.

Robert, Unfortuntely this BBS uses a GUI MAC/IBM windoz interface. THEY don't know what I'm ataking about & the software people don't know what I'm taking about, so I'm in a bind. The Sysop of the Popcorn BBS (a big CA commerical BBS) said "definitely not QWK", but from the way he talks I don't think he knows much. It was like pulling teeth to get the ASCII sign on from him <G>. They have a complete GUI front end, I must be the only one who uses a term. I guess I can take a chance & try QWK, but of course THOR has about 4 QWK variations <G>. Gracia, on AutoPilot from Cooleemee, NC
