Can anyone tell me how to mount a CD-ROM drive onto my Amiga workbench? I have it attached to my Emplant and can play audio CD's via some Amiga software using the EmpSCSI.device but I just can't get an icon to appear so I can copy files directly to the Amiga… The CD0: icon just returns an error message along the lines of: "Can't find Surfaces, tracks or cylinders" I guess I need some form of mountlist, but can't find an example anywhere, any help gratefully received! Steve

Hey Dummie! Go get "AMICD.LHA" from the libs here and sort it out yourself… Sheesh.. Do I have to tell you -everything?- …now if I could only get that new icon to conform to my magic workbench colors.. <g> Steve

And should anybody be following this saga I uninstalled it the next day because it won't live with Emplant… Ho hum, back to the original question, How can I read CD's into my Amiga without using Emplant?! Steve

Try ASIM CDFS 2.0 or 3.0. I have been using ASIM 2.0 for about a year and it works fine. ….Via Autopilot and Gforce 040/33. // …Only Amiga makes it possible \\/

Steve, you can also use AmiCDROM. It's freeware. Seems to be very stable. I work with it all day. You find it as AMICD.LHA in AmigaUser, Lib 9 Disk Utilities. Joachim Sondermann-Bieker on Amiga AutoPilot 1.80 from Cologne, Germany
