I have version 1.1 for windows. I thought I had the lastest version, am
I mistaken? If so How much more is an upgrade and what is the difference?
I would like to tell you how much I enjoy you software. I am amazed more as I
become more proficent. I started using the TS demo software that came with the
cd's from virtual reality madness and more. That demo sold me. Thanks for
allowing a nearly full demo that I could use until I could afford you software.
I can't tell you how much that means to us poor folk.
TS has allowed me to extend my art knowledge into the reals of 3-d space
without getting messy. I find that I can usually take any concept through many
variations before executing the tangible product. Moreso I can do this prelude
work faster allowing for more variations before creating the model. Let me tell
you it is a real bummer to have worked over a month of an art project and then
not like the outcome or to have conceived of something better in the meantime.
A lot of frustration can be alievated by utilization of such fine software as
Truespace! Again I thank you, you are rare amoung developers!

You can pull patches from this very trueSpace library.. From 1.1, you'll need
to ge
(actually, you must have 1.01) 1.02, 1.03, and 1.04. You have to apply patches
in order. (There are instructions with the patches.) In about a month,
trueSpace2 will be released.. Big time upgrade!! If you've purchased trueSpace
on or after November 14, 1994, then you'll get it for free. If it was before
then, then it'll cost you $149.

Yes!!!! I'm a winner at last!!! I recieved my copy of TS ver. 1.1 in FEB. 1995,
and I am very Happy to learn that I am eligible! I must admit that when I hear
of the upgrades and checked my version number I was a bit disapointed. My worry
was that I would have to inform my friend who purchased the TS as a gift that
perhaps it was not a wise purchase… I wisely withheld that doubt until I
learned more about this delemia I found myself in.
I know that it was my friends intention that I have the most recent version,
and that my friend generous cash outlay was what I call "substantial" this
thought caused me to have visions of many sad and negative scenarios ( I have a
tendeancey towards an "overactive imagination). Thus you may understand what a
great relief it is to know that TrueSpace has and honorable policy towards its
clients and I do not have to bother debating whether or not to inform my friend
of a bad purchase decision. (Whew).
Of course this scenario may sound petty on my part… however when it come to
tools of my trade…I am indeed petty as they come and proud of it. (smile).
Anway THANK YOU VERY MUCH…for this serine inducment of info.

It's very refreshing to read such a very open and enthusiastic (sp?) message as
yours! Thanks for taking the time to "spread the cheer".. (Now, pass out some
of that medicine.. <g>)
I'll be checking out some of your images soon.. I'm sure I've already seen
them, because I generally make it a "to-do" to check all of the images and
animations out personally..
(Admittedly, I'm a bit behind, though..)
Now, let's have some of those scenes for our CD project..
Take two Motrin and call me in the morning…(smile). Honestly I do not
remember what I've uploaded or quite where but you can find anything I have
using the keyword "klammer" in the libraries. I have found that some of my
avi's are a little too large for the speed of my 2400 modem. so I cancelled in
the middle…don't know if the first half makes it to the lib.
You know it is frustrating to be labeled Guenuis from early on in life and find
the only useful thing the IQ does is to remind me how really stupid I am.

heheh I have allergies too but I think I'll not devulge my secret overthe
counter formula. Right now I think it need a little salt. (grin) Whew, I hate
root canals..I honestly asked my dentist to yank them all out…but nooooo! But
she does a real good job and they doo look pretty.

Reguardless Anything I upload is public domain as far as I'm concerned. Would
you like a multimedia sketchbook? Hmm a virtual TS art gallery of my early
works on paper might be nice…Faces lots of faces superimposed on each other
of the same person (per image that is). Let's see i'll have floating cubes
slowing rotating and each facet shall have a different drawing. Now that should
test the limits of my ram! (chuckle)
I am thinking of building a face from scratch using TS and I have tried a few
times with some dissapointment of my ability to do so. I tried using the
primatives the first few times (mind you these were all half-hearted play
arround efforts) but found that method rather tedious. I halve since purchased
aninexpensive trackball and find that it has better controll for this type of
work for me. I have been practicing like made my spline technieques and am
getting to the point when I can product a fair likeness of anything I concieve.
Then comes the new territory …navigating 3-d (an I thought I wanted to be an
astronaut!). Because I am a bit dyslexic changing the x-y-z- switches slows me
down a bit however the trackball seems to make this process easier. I think my
mouse was shot.
I seem to have a problem with the primative when editing vertices like to do a
cut-off I have trouble distinguishing whether I am in forground or background
and miss many of the vertices or points that I thought I was selecting. Perhaps
if the background points would be a different color, I would be less likely to
miss the tchosen target. However I also know that practise makes perfect and
that I will get very much better as time goes on. (Whew)
Anyway I am happy to know that I have spread cheer and flattered that at my age
to be called enthusiastic (your asking me? sp? HA!) I really thought I had
toned down. hehehe Now I am wondering if I'll be hyper at 90. Take your time
answering, I have lots and I understand what goes on behind the scenes of
serenity.

The most current version is 1.04. There are 3 patches to bring you up to 1.04.
You can download these from our BBS (415) 390-0585. If you would prefer I
could send you a copy of the patches on disk. Please let me know.

I was looking at some leaves on the TrueClips CD, these have nice mesh
surfaces.
I assume that these are NURBS meshes, am I going to be able to model like this
in v.2 and is there any way I can do something simillar in v.1.4?

tell me how much…I'm in the I have to ask before I buy brackets) If it is
free wow! thank you sooo much… I'll be happy to put it through its paces and
let you know what I think pro and con with hints for improvement (not that TS
is'nt prefect already).
