Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to use the 'metals' textures in Imagine? How do I change the numbers in the boxes so that I get the different types of metals and finishes? Thanks Bruce Van Horn

Hey Bruce. I'm a new user to Imagine, and have had a tough time getting used to the way Imagine uses attributes. The thing you have to remember is that whenever you see a value indented in the Attributes requester, don't put anything there. Only put a value in a box where it's stated something like "Type". Then under it would be something like 0 = Brass, 1 = Gold, etc… Don't put anything values directly next to the 0 = Brass, or 1 = Gold, etc. Put the 0 or 1 in the Type Box. Version 3.3 of Imagine will have a real time display of your materials to make this monotony disappear like a transparent sphere! Hope this helps, Steve

Metals won't work unless there's something in the scene for them to reflect, or a Reflection Brush (such as a landscape) on the object. -Tim
