The only real prob. with Alpha's are that, looking for programs to run
are a pain. Progs. are scarce at best, and usualy cost more (eg. MS Visual C++,
Visual Reality 1.5, etc..)
I owned one for months and the closest image editing app I got is a
beta version. Hopefully, as Digital has promised, some companies will make
thier app. available for the Alpha.
Nice thing is, they are incredibily quick. Test drive one yourself,
you'll see. The only real advice I have to offer (if you plan on buying one) is
that you get as much RAM as you could afford. Personaly, I would not settle for
anything less than 32.
