Well, going back to the 1070, the assignment is as follows:
1————signal ground
2————signal ground
3————red
4————green
5————blue
6————not connected
7————composite SYNC
8————not connected
9————not connected
Depending on the switch setting for RGBA or RGBI, it may (the 1080 that
is) not use separated sync in the Analog position…probably your best bet, is
to go to an Amiga dealer, I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you the exact
pinouts for the 1080.
Well, the Amiga dealer I went to had no idea what the pin outs are… Do you
know the difference between a v-sync/h-sync and the Comp sync?? Thanks a lot

The dealer is giving you the run-around, talk to the service guy, they _have_
to have service facilities to be an authorized Amiga dealer and I can't
believe the service guy doesn't know what the pinouts are.
Composite sync is just that, a composite of both the horizontal and vertical
sync signals in 1. Very similar to a standard TV signal, except it has no
video (picture) information…just the sync signals. Separated sync is what
the ST uses (and the Amiga also supplies it via the DB23 on pins 11 (H sync)
and 12 (V sync) where a separate line is used for the horizontal
syncronization signals and another line for the vertical syncronization
signals.
