#TCP/IP Network Protocol

Today I spoke to a man — now an influencial business consultant -who was the
right hand man to a very, very famous millionaire industrialist and EVP of his
holding company. He is out looking at new micros for his company (and to
recommend to clients). His one requirement — MS-DOS 2.1 compat. As all his
files in that format. I told him about AMIGA and SIDECAR, etc. He is very
interested and if SIDECAR comes out in time, may go with AMIGA. Sidecar would
allow him to work in MS-DOS until decent productivity stuff comes out for
AMIGA. I also mentioned my idea of a file translation utility and that was very
interesting to him. He asked questions about networking capabilities. Does
anyone know what plans are afoot to network AMIGAS for business use? With just
a little help from CBM and 3rd party developers we might actually launch this
as a business machine! Chris
Probably the best way to go….For less than the price of a real IBM!!
Corvus has developed controller card for OmniNet. Poor choice of networks, but
they've done the work.
Now if only someone would do the same for Ethernet & X.25.
