Alien Fires is a role-plying game with excellent sound and graphics as you
described. It is tough to get going, and requires a lot of conversation with
characters to find out anything. (I hate trying to talk to a computer.) It
looks like Wizadry with colour graphics and outrageous sound.
You play the character of TimeLord and are on a search for the developer of a
time-machine. You have one hundred points to distribute between fighting,
marksmanship, undertanding, dexterity, quickness, diplomacy, tracking, and a
couple of other attributes. I've found so far the fighting, understanding and
tracking to be the most important. (But I have'nt fot to far yet.)
AF is challenging, real challenging and a good pick for the adventurous types.
It retails for $49.95 American

I paid $31.95 in a retail shop that never has discounts so there must
be some difference in distributors.
