I read in WindowsUser 2/93 p. 34 that Chinon has a
upgrade from the CDS-431 to the CDS-435 to support
Quicktime, MPC, and Kodak PhotoCD for $128. Does
anyone know how this works and who to call? Also what
are the advantages of the upgrade?

I had a Chinon 431 for about a month. The drive was bad and I had to take
it back. I ended up with a Texel 5024. It doesn't have the nice display
and every thing but it is much faster 🙂 I spent a lot of time on the phone
with Chinon. Call 1-800-441-0222 for more info.
