There is another way. If Walter has an Epson or Epson compatible printer,
there is a program called PLOT2PRINT that will convert an HPGL plot file to
an Epson bit-map. There are versions for 9 and 24 pin printers. The program
is fairly crude (it's hardcoded for DF0: and DF1: for example), but it works
and boy does it work well! Aegis can give you more details.

I remember trying that (is that the one written in AmigaBasic?) and couldn't
get it to work. Dosen't it need a wide carrige Epson or something? I'm not
terribly concerend though, I'm using an Western Graphtec MP 2000 that is just
great (and cheap).

I don't think you remember trying it. This package most definitely isn't
written in BASIC (unless it's compiled). You get about a dozen versions,
from single-density narrow carriage to enhanced quad-density quick plot wide
carriage, and you just use the one you want for your application.

It was definetly something else then. The one I used was in Basic. Do you
remember the name. It might be nice for test plots, if its faster than a
plotter.

As far as I know it's just called PLOT2PRINT or Plot-to-Print Converter; at
least that's how the docs are titled. Again, give Aegis a call… they were
the ones that gave us the lead.
