Uhm, were we arguing? I didn't see anything in your message that I was
supposed to disagree with. I was refering to people who call something PD
but then try to place arbitrary restrictions on distribution or use…

It was your statement that 'giving a Disk to Fred Fish and then
trying to enforce a copyright on that disk' (or words to that effect) that I
was disagreeing with.
I see no problem with giving Fred (or you) a disk and yet maintaining
my copyright and right to distribute it as I see fit (which in this case
would include Fred and/or you).
