Ben, I hope I'm not making you repeat stuff, but I am confused about recent messages regarding the upcoming version 10 of IM. I use both FireCracker and HAM-E versions of IM. I gather that there will remain a special version for FR24? But that HAM-E owners will end up with the 'Amiga' version, which will contain support for HAM-E screens? Will the upgrade to the Amiga version (if that's correct) happen automatically, or do I need to send in a request for upgrade? Cost? (remember, I am a HAM-E owner too!) Maybe you can direct me to a text file that explains stuff? BTW, I really appreciate your auto-upgrade on the FR24 versions. One think I like is not worrying about sending in for the next version, etc…. it just shows up in the mail. Neat! thanks…. ttfn –jp–seattle–

John, no problem. V10 will replace ALL versions of Imagemaster; it'll run directly on the FC24, as does IMFC (only much nicer, IMHO) and likewise on the HAM-E, OpalVision, and so on. Upgrade will be automatic if the customer is a member of the autoupgrade program at the time we release the program. V10 will be a more expensive product, and all other facets of it (retail price, upgrade price, autoupgrade price, etc) will also be more expensive. There will be an upgrade fee which will be less than the price increase for current customers who are not in the autoupgrade program, but only for a limited time. The final price has not yet been announced, so this is a bit general – but that's how it's going to happen. –Ben …via AutoPilot
