Instructional Video

I am looking at getting into developing training videos, and would
appreciate any information on programs for the Amiga which allow
preparation and editing of video images together with computer images. I
would also like information on Genlocking equipment. I can't seem to find
anyone in Ottawa who knows anything about it.
Frank,
MicroIllusions has a line of products for professional video called
"Photon Video". It includes a SMPTE time code reader/generator, and edit
decision list processor, software for single-frame recording, a MIDI music
program, a paint program and an animation program. Info can be found in
DL10 of the Amigavendor forum. There are also demo programs and screen
shots there. Software & hardware is also available that turns the Amiga
into a frame-accurate cuts-only or A-B roll editing system.

I'm doing exactly that kind of work here in Toronto. There are a large
number of software and hardware options available to you. If you can narrow
down your requirements a little I can probably be of some assistance. Also,
if you'd like to give me a call some time let me know and I'll EMAIL you my
phone number.

Just today I finished a 30 minute instructional video that described how a
certain digital circuit worked. It was all Amiga animation, with no live
footage, but my next one (on LANs) will probably include live footage.
I use the Amiga only for the anims. The editing was done with the
traditional two deck and edit bay (? is that what it's called?) setup.
There are programs that will let the Amiga control the editing, as other
replies have noted, but remember there's always the option of editing
manually.
