ADOS 2.0 and BM2
5 messages in this thread
I was wondering if you plan on any new or upgraded products as a result of
CBM's ADOS 2.0 announcement. I would like to see Avant-Garde make sure
that 2.0 can be used from BM2 not long after its official release (whenever
that is!).
My thinking is that they're adding alot of new functionality in the OS that
BM2 programmers won't be able to get at without new support routines that
hook into the OS. If some parameters have changed, presumably some of the
commands we may invoke using old routines would break.
Will you release any new material for the new OS, and if so, will this be
treated as an upgrade?
John:
My plan is to support DOS 2.0 in Benchmark Modula-2. When the new version
is released it would be considered an upgrade. An announcement will be made
as soon as the version has been tested and is ready to ship. If you have
sent in a registration card you will be notified by mail.

Say Leon…
Any ideas as to what the upgrade cost is going to be?

Jim:
I have not determined the cost of the upgrade yet.

Any Idea when it will be available? Before or after general availablility
of 2.0?
