Got 'em all!
Just a short note to say "Thanks!" for uploading DIVINE INTERVENTION.
Now, as I recall, you mentioned a NIV version…(BIG GRIN!).

Bob, the NIV does not have a search routine – just the text alone. I have
not checked to see whether this search will work on the new version. Lazy,
I guess.

Did you finally get DIVOT3 to upload? I didn't notice an announcement
going by. I'd also be interested in the NIV files, whether or not the
existing search program will work. Possibly you could replace the KJV with
NIV files after a month or two.

David, yes – DIVOT3 is in Library 1, so the Bible set is now complete.
Give me a little breather here to get some other things uploaded, and then
I'll see about the other version.

Betty, text-only would be fine (for the NIV). I can do searching with my
several word-processors/text-editors/text-utilities. DIVINE INTERVENTION
is my second KJ version; the first is just text (and Messy-DOS formatted,
at that! 8-). DI was so well done, though, that I probably would have
DL'd it had I a half-dozen KJs!
How (or where) did you obtain your NIV? I also wouldn't mind any of
the other Protestant Bible versions, the Apocryphal books (or a complete
Catholic text), Science and Health, or the Book of Mormon! I have these in
hard copy, as well as a wealth of related texts (including some wonderful
old, as in last century, religious education texts). Having these on disk
would provide some terrific analytical oppourtunities. I have seen some
fine commercial offerings (at least for the various Protestant Bibles), but
they are MS-DOS, and I prefer supporting ShareWare when available.
At any rate, this isn't suggesting you should become a
Religious-Lit-On-Disk clearing house ;-> ! Or a suggestion to upload
anything else; take a break! You do seem to have some great sources,
though.
BTW… I created a new icon for DIVINE INTERVENTION, both for the
program and the disk(s). It's the same image for both: a more graphic
Bible. Do you suppose anyone would be interested? And thanks again for
undertaking the task of ARCing and UpLoadinging DI.

Why not upload your icons to library 14? I'm sure some people would be
interested.
I got the NIV from Jay Gross – we exchanged versions. He did not have the
KJ; I did not have the NIV.
I wish I did have some other things. I have several versions of the Bible
on paper, but no others on disk. Same with religious education texts, etc.
Actually – I have a degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. Coming to the seminary changed me from
an Arkansan to a Texan. Once I got here, I never left.

I have one more question about Divine Intervention for you. Can you do
a successful search of book 15 (Ezra) of the Old Testament? I've extracted
it several times from the Lharc file, and even extracted the entire
Divine-OT3: a couple of times, but whenever I try a search of Ezra (first
noticed when I tried to search the entire Old Testament), I end up with the
Guru.
In the past, whenever I've had software Guru, I've attributed it to
programing errors, however, recently, I've noticed that there is some
software that runs on other Amigas, that won't run on mine-I've even run
into a game that will only run on occasion!
