I just ordered a laptop, plan to install Stacker and then my CD-ROM. Does that sound right to you based on your experience? Is there anything else I should know? I don't have the knowledge to figure out the problem if I screw up so I want to do it right the first time. Cheryl

Cheryl – yes, install Stacker first, then do the CD-ROM installation and you should not have a problem; just remember to set lastdrive= in config.sys to at least one more drive letter than you have in place after running Stacker. I am running a stacked big drive with virtual drives C through H and my CD-ROM is drive I: I do not use the CD-ROM on my laptop (also Stacked … nice to get close to 160 mb on the "little" machine <g>), but again the approach would be to do the CD-ROM install after running Stacker's setup program.
