I'm having great difficulty locating video of the original Amiga 1000 launch in NYC. I've received video from several people, but it is of poor quality. Does anyone know where I can get a 3/4" copy of the launch video? I'm working on a video project and have been unable to locate this footage. I would really appreciate any help. It's getting down to the wire… You can bixmail me or call me at (603) 924-0324. Thanks! Chris BTW, nobody at Commodore knows where this video is!

I suspect only VHS copies exist. Are you sure it was ever recorded in anything better than that? If you're not in competition with them, you could call AmigaWorld's video department, they were once working on an Amiga history video. Or, call the New Technology Group at whoops in Silicon Valley, call the 408 and 415 area codes for directory assistance. That's where former Amiga Corp leader Dave Morse, RJ Mical, etc are working now.

HI John, I am AmigaWorld's video department! 🙂 I've spoken to RJ and a few of the other originals. Andy Finkel gave me the name of a production company in NY, but they have no record of it.. I'll keep looking.. thanks for the help! Chris

Ah, well. After I posted the reply, I thought that might be the case. Are you still in production on that "history" tape? I had once considered submitting my extensive collection of old Amiga stuff, but I never got around to putting it in a box and sending it to you.

John, Yes, we're in production right now – actually putting it all together! Finally! It should be out in about a week or two! Chris – via Whap!

Chris, you might see if you can get that A3000 'launch' video with the double-talking Professor Irwin Corey – it was pretty good.

Those tapes were likely to have been handled by Los Gatos directly. I seem to remember the video proceeding directly back to LG without stopping in West Chester at all. I might be able to locate someone who has some, though. andy (where's my shirt, BTW ? 🙂 )

Chris, My dealer has one of the original VHS copies but I don't know of anyone who has a 3/4 inch copy. Were there any made that were widely distributed? -sja

Can you give me the name/phone number of your dealer that has a copy of the Amiga launch video. VHS is OK, I guess. I am also working on a video project and I have been looking for that video. Please reply soon.

Looks like I spoke too soon. He no longer has it — recycled it for something else a couple of months ago!

Steve… That's what I'm trying to find out. Andy Finkel gave me the name of the production company that did it, but they say they know nothing about it… Geez… – via Whap!
