KitchenSYNC sunk

Whine! We just got a new Kitchen SYNC. And Channel A works great, wonderful, couldn't be better. Channel B, on the other hand, gives us a picture that looks like overexposed film. Everything is too bright, blurry, there is substantial alteration of colors. Adjusting the settings on the Kitchen SYNC does not do much. Hue and saturation have some effect on the image, nothing else really shows any effect. Particulars: Amiga 2000 with 1 MB onboard plus 6 MB Supra RAM, Video Toaster, IVS Trumpcard hard disk controller, and XT Bridgeboard. And, also, Kitchen SYNC. Input from VCR or live from camcorder…both show the same problem. What we've done: Switched inputs…it is definitely Channel B that's the problem. Switched inputs to the Toaster. Reset the Kitchen SYNC (several times). Reset the Toaster. Reset the Amiga. Powered down the Amiga and restarted. All the techs at Digital Creations are apparently at a meeting or something right now, and won't be back until tomorrow. (NewTek these people ain't!) Any suggestions are welcome. -Don & Thomas

Don, it might be the TERMINATION. Check your Toaster preferences and see if you have both inputs to the Toaster TERMINATED.

Sounds like an unterminated input to me too! You have no IDEA how common and how serious that problem is! Everything has GOT to end up terminated or it's deffinately going to be NO GOOD! (Watch out for "double termination" too. It cuts your video [and sync] in 1/2!)
