I'm pleased to be able to tell you that we've completed version 9.12 of Imagemaster, Imagemaster F/c and Image Professional. Those of you on the autoupgrade program will be recieving your copies during the next two weeks, as fast as we can ship them. Individual upgrades orders are also being taken. IP is available online in the usual places. This upgrade of the image manipulation software provides a WONDERFUL new class of capabilities; that of being able to use any custom shape for generating an area selection, outline, brush cut and so on. We're not talking about replicative polygons here; you can use preset shapes such as city skylines, top hats, stars and so on as masks. These masks flip horizontally and vertically depending on how you drag them out, *and* they "live reposition" using the right mouse button while being dragged out. More? Sure! You can define your _own_ new shapes – virtually anything you like. We've provided a number for you to try as ish.lzh in DL6 of vendor, and on the release disks. We'll update this archive as well, as we go along. Version 1.06 of the PIE.lzh archive has been posted (and is included in the new upgrades). This upgrade addresses some problems relating to the creation and reading of ANIM files over 1.05; if you have an earlier version than 1.05, it's definitely time to upgrade, as many new features were added then. Keep those ideas coming! –Ben

Ben, Would it be possible for you to post the various versions of the rexx programs included in the pie.lzh archive? I've found that i have lots, but have somewhere misplaced the pie.lzh archive and don't know if it'd be worth the d/l Any chance of getting the separate scripts as options to d/l from your bbs? (I love calling at 2 or 3 in the morning 😉 And, another *smallish* request…..I happen to use IP or IM ( I have both 🙂 to view a bunch of GIFs every now and then. Of course, IM/IP loads the GIF, converts it to RGB and then displays it with my display defaults. BUT….if I use the "view ENTIRE pic" option, the graphic tends to get crunched, especially if text is on the image. I'd love to have the capability to do one (or both) of the following options: 1) slide the image around, perhaps in a reduced bitplane mode (for speed purposes) before IM/IP redraws the picture. Ideally, I'd love to be able to grab the pic with the arrow, and reposition it that way.. It just takes sooo long to redraw that I get frustrated 🙂 2) have an option (of your choice, maybe a Shift-Alt-F key one) that allows me to shift the image more than the quarter of an inch it currently does before it redraws. Basically, I'm looking for a way to reposition the image in Exact size to the part I want to look at. IM/IP gets pretty frustrating for me the way I'm currently using it. If you know of an easier way that already exists, please let me know! Next, I was wondering if there's a way to eliminate the vertical distortion I currently experience when using the "Lace" option from the display selector. With the HAM-E device, I just *love* to view the pics in lace, but all the images are 1/2 as high as they're supposed to be. Is there a way to resize the image to make it twice as large vertically when I switch to the lace option? I suppose that another option would be to simply repeat every other scanline [ MORE ]

[ continuation ] in the lace option (user selectable button?) rather than to synthesize a 2nd scanline between 1 and 3 in the non-lace pic. (BTW, this is obviously not what probably happens, but hopefully you get the drift.) Finally, as a user of ProPage3.0, have found that they use ADPro via a rexx script to export an image to manipulate it in ADPro, then re-import it to Pro-Page. Are you aware of anyone who's written a similar script to export the document to IM/IP instead of ADPro??? Since I'm still a rexx novice, and despite the fact that I attempted to draft an equivalent script, it doesn't work at all! Would you consider looking at the script or having someone at BBS look at it? i imagine that there are lots of ProPage users who are also IM/IP fans and would prefer that option. If you might be interested, I could send you the script for ADPro (assuming there'd be no copyright infringement, etc…) Anyway, Thanks for your continued presence and support and upgrades of your products (umm ..except for ClickFAX…but that's another story and only mentioned because I *really* wanted the voice mail option that was tossed around for awhile). ..
