A combination of Stealth (ST:M), NVR and X=D000-EFFF did it! Everything works as it should (well, almost everything) – rendering, materials editor, etc. My Lyon-Lamb animation controller even started to work right! The only thing is that my Rewritable Optical drive is on a SCSI adapter at C800 which has been stealthed. It seems to work fine, except the "load file" dialog box in 3D Editor only shows those cute little drive buttons for drives A through F, and my optical drive is G: I can use that read pick, switch my file type to *.* and manually insert G:\ into the path field and it finds the files OK. Hints? P.S. Thanks to you (and everybody else that helped me) on your advice and assistance.

Very glad to hear that you're finally rendering! (again) Now to get your "G"-button back into the UI. The handle for is being overwritten by something else that QEMM is automatically managing. It's impossible for me to guess what it would be, exactly. You should try playing around with the location of the optical disk driver a bit. Make little changes and see what happens.

Ok, thanks. I have the SCSI interface at C800 and it is stealthed, so the EMS page might be sitting over the SCSI BIOS. The wierd thing is that I can still use the drive. I'll play with QEMM and see what happens. Thanks again Chris
