Tim,

I haven't seen that one. What does it consist of?
At the other extreme, it is amazing to see the openning credits to
something like Where in the World is Carmen… It appears that there were
30 or so people involved in producing it. Must have been big bucks to
produce. More like a movie than a conventional program.

Allow me to quote from the Bureau of Electronic Publishing catalog: "This
disk contains the full text of "About Cows" by Sara Rath, along with
udderly divine B&W and VGA color images of various bovine poses". $29.
Probably sells as well as the OED!

Tim; At last count About Cows and OED were running about neck and neck in
sales.

Good mutlimedia production _is_ more like a movie. Furthermore, good
applications software development would benefit from a more"movie-like"
model. After all these years of "interactive programs" on everything from
the AppleI to the latest Cray, everyone is still fascinated by the idea of
producing interactive programming. The reason we don't recognize it as
interactive programming is because it has been badly produced, generally,
in the design stages. We need more movie people all around!

You might want to cheack out the Feb. Issue of Computer Gaming World. In
particular there's a good story on the making of our latest project (The
Return To Zork), which involved talent from the local film and television
industry.
