Mark – I have recently received my upgrade copy of Quarterback Ver 5.01 and would like to commend you for a fine program. It is GREAT for backing up HD partitions on to separate groups of floppies, but am disappointed that it appears to be impossible to write a macro to backup files from different partitions/drawers at the same time. I have adapted the 'multiple backup' ARexx program, included with the upgrade, but a separate disk(s) for each drawer is required. This is inefficient when backing up many files from different drawers. Am I overlooking something? Meanwhile I will continue to use 'bru' for this task. Peter – via Whap!

Peter, You cannot backup files from more than one drive to a single backup. So, you can backup two drawers on the same partition, but you must scan the whole drive, and only tag those two drawers for backup. Mark Thomas Central Coast Software A division of New Horizons Software, Inc.

Mark, Hi. How come every time I've ever left you a message directly, you've never read it? Most of my messages to you are replies and you always get them and answer them right away. However, on the few occasions that I've left you a message that was not a reply, I've never gotten an answer. When I check my message, it indicates that you have not read it yet. Don't you have your Forum options set to display all messages to you automatically? I'm sending the messages to PIN 76004,2021. Please let me know if your # has changed. In any event, please see message #40497 that I left for you on 6/13/92. Thanks. Dom Fontana

I do not think I miss any messages. I am not very good at navigating on CompuServe, but if I get the message I do reply. I'll look for the message you specified.

Mark, Thanks. The first message I sent you indicates that you never read it. I know that you always reply after you read the message, but for some reason you never read this one. If you can't find it, although you should be able to, let me know and I'll repost it. Thanks. Dom Fontana

Dominick, I'll be happy to respond, but since I cannot figure out how to get that message, then I can only suggest that you repost. I use an offline reader and it just doesn't seem to do what I want it to do, no matter how hard I try. Mark Thomas Central Coast Software A division of New Horizons Software, Inc.

Mark, Perhaps NHS needs to hire a local CompuServe consultant. I have a suggestion… <g>. -Homer

Mark: Is my upgrade out the door yet? It's been a while since you received the upgrade order. Are you guys waiting on a new version or something? Regards Charles
