#A3000 "T"
12 messages in this thread
Has anyone got any experiences, good or bad, concerning the A3000T and the
toaster. Will it work? reliably? new power supply reqd? Is that all?
etc..
thx.
Hi, I'm an Amiga 3000 "T" owner and have tried to install the Toaster in
the computer. First it did fit after some doing, but the chassey still
covered input 1. Then when I tried to install the software it loaded but
when run the system, I received a message saying that the "GPI SYSTEM WOULD
NOT INITIALIZE". I'm not sure what is causing this.
I would be very interested in other problems since I really would like to
use my toaster for 3D animation and Lightave 3d.

I'm using the Toaster in my 3000T without any problem. Make sure you have
the latest revision of the Super Denise and version 2 of the Toaster
software.

I thought the Toaster did not work with Super Denise.

The latest version of the Super Denise works with vesions 1.0 and 2.0 of
the Toaster software under AD 1.3 or 2.0.

That's interesting. Is there any way of telling if one has the version
of Denise that will work with the Toaster?
Hi Charles,
What Super Denise would that be? What date? or what ever?
I'm not too sure where I could get one?
Do you use the "T" for Single Frame Animation?

I think it's Denise 8373, Revision D.

I just ordered it from my dealer.

I plan too. I'm still in the process of deciding on which recorder to get.
I'm also awaiting Nucleus' Personal Editor.

i,m still trying to get used to this modem stuff. Anyway, I was going to
say that we use a VO-9850 3/4"SP deck for our animations using the toaster
on a A2000 with a BCD 5000 and it looks awsome. Very clean.
Suresh,
I'm using a Toaster in a Tower and it works flawlessly. The way I have it
installed requires NO modification to to Toaster or the Tower. I am also
using a G-Force 040 board and it just SCREAMS! LightWave renderings are
consistently 40% faster tahn my Progressive 040 in a 2000. I've been using
it for single framing and it is definitely my rendering machine of choice.

When using Lightwave 3D with the 040 in your Amiga 2000 did you renamed the
lightwave.ffp file to lightwave on your Hard drive!? I no, your toaster
thought that there were no math co-processor!

..sure did… copyback mode is even on. It is definitily 40% faster. No
if's ands or buts. –John
