Ok, have a small question. I've been thinking about installing 68010 proce procesor into my A500 (rev 6 board with a tiny IDE interface in the processor slot) got it? Ok, will the 68010 increase the speed of my computer, particularly for word processing? That's it. See you later

Eugene, I have the 68010 in my A500. If you don't play any games, it's a good idea to use that CPU but many games don't run with it. Actually the only reason I use it is that is speeds up Imagine. A picture that would take about 6 hous with an 68000 will only take 5 1/2 hours. Of course, that little increase is not worth the trouble the CPU causes, but I sometimes make some animations with up to 100 frames… -Quinten

I don't play many games, but I play new ones. I guess the problem with games on 68010 is similar to amigas with accelerators (A3000 has tohse problems) So you say it speeds the CPU up. Good, I gues I will have to get it. I do some animations and use page stream with word procesors, so I guess It would be usefull to get it. Thanks for responding. See you later

Eugene, A 68010 gives you about a 5% overall speedup. Some things run a bit faster than 5%, but overall…it's only about 5%. Don
