A friend of mine with a Toaster is having problems with recording to VHS from the program output of the toaster. The video has a space on the right side of the recording and it also shows up on the output monitor as such. When the Toaster is switched to DV1 or DV2 the space disapears. We are wondering what to look for to correct this problem. He is using a Horita CSG-50 sync generator as a source and 2 DPS Personal TBC-II's for sync and a DPS VDA and vectorscope. The actual video output is being pulled to the right and nothing seems to correct it. Would appreciate any suggestions or input. // \X/ John – (Who enjoys harrasing the vendors)

John Have your friend try to adjust the H-Phase on either the Sync generator or on one of the TBCs. It seems like the logical solution, since the digital framestores of the Toaster appear to be ok. Frank

Thanks for your input Frank. I'll let my friend know about your suggestion for adjusting the H-Phase on the Sync generator or TBC. This is his first real project using the Toaster, and of course I guess the first is always the most difficult <g>. // \X/ John – (Who enjoys harrasing the vendors)

John, I would try adjusting the H phase on the tbc's first. I also have a horita csg 50 and find it is pretty acurate. Besides, adjusting the pahse on the horita could get tricky, were as the tbc's are relatively easy and also easy to go back to original settings. good luck george
