#SB 16 ASP + MITSUMI 5S
5 messages in this thread
If the SoundBlaster 16 ASP doesn't lock you into one drive manufacturer like
the SBPro did, it might be a good thing.
BTW – All caps is akin to shouting, and is difficult to read for most —
perhaps you could locate your capslock and disenage it? 🙂
The 16 uses the same proprietary port and system as the SB Pro, alas.
Jack, do you have the Mitsumi connected toa Sound Blaster Sound card? I have
the SB pro, and have heard reversing the wires on the 4 pin connector will
work, but I'm not sure which way the wires go. reverse the grey wires or
switch the grey and white ones, or what?
Thanx, ER.
Sorry, I've never even seen a Mitsumi, and I wouldn't connect diddly to
that bastardized SCSI port on the SB Pro (although somebody makes an adapter
for it–maybe someone here can say who). I run everything off a BusLogic 742A
dedicated SCSI card and just connect the audio out to the SoundBlaster Pro via
the rear ports and RCA to mini stereo plugs.
Thanx for the reply. Noone can say your not opinionated.
Got the answer I need in another response.
