I just bought PageStreem 2.2. I mailed my registratin form today (5-20-93). I've tried to install PS2.2 to my Hard drive and everything except the Drivers disk installs. I get multiple disk errors on the drivers disk. The files I get errors on are: Degas.Export and .info DegasCExport and .info iffilbm.import and .info MacEPS.import and .info preferences.printer Postscript.printer Can someone send me a new Drivers disk for PS2.21? My name and address is: Rodger I. Padgett P.O. Box 67 Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-0067 If need be I'll send my Reg. Number via E-mail! Thanks, Rodger

Rodger, There should be a 1-800 number in your manual. Try 1-800-829-8608. I have had excellent service from Soft-Logik. I am sure they will help you, once they get you in thier database anyways… Have your serial number handy, they will not talk to you without it. // Gary Vander Mei on Auto-Pilot \X/

Thanks Gary! I've looked at the 1-800 number, but I hesitate using it because it says it's for sales! Rodger

Rodger; In this case it is highly unlikely that you have done anything wrong. I agree that normally when one calls for technical help they should use the tech-support number but in your case that is really a "sales" issue as you did not get what you bought. I also feel as you appearently do, that tying up a company's sales line with tech service question is a discourtesy at best and actually damaging to our own interests in the product (since if we make selling the product more difficult for the company then we also suffer in terms of that company's ability to produce new work, bug fixes and the like). -bill

Rodger: just return your disk to Soft-Logik and ask for a replacement disk with a note explaining the problem. The address is: Soft-Logik Publishing 11131F South Towne Sq. St. Louis, MO 63123 You can still use PageStream in the interim. You just won't have those modules available for the time being. Cheers, Michael @ Soft-Logik Publishing Corp.

Thanks Michael, By the way! Since I just bought PS2.2 am I entitled to version 3.0 when it comes out? When is that going to be (if you can tell me?) Thanks again, Rodger

If you just bought a full copy of 2.2 (not a blowout copy) since Mar 15, 1993, then yes, you get a free upgrade to 3.0. Blowout copies are the ones sold by Tenex without a box. There will also be blowout copies being sold by mail order with boxes soon, but they will be marked that way to avoid confusion. You need to send in your reg card if you haven't already, plus send in a copy of your receipt to prove when you bought it, along with a request for you free 3.0 upgrade. You can do this now to get on the list, or you can do it when it comes out. Your choice. 3.0 date: We haven't set an official date yet, since we're still working on the program and the manual. Late summer is still our best guess. Thanks, Michael @ Soft-Logik Publishing Corp.
