Actually the text, graphics, audio is the same in the DOS and Windows versions
as far as I know. It is the video that differs slightly in format.

FYI. Groliers DOS and STW DOS are the same. Groliers Windows and STW Windows
are the same.
The content in all are the same. (Also the Mac Versions).
Formats for video, GRAPHICS and AUDIO differ.

Actually, here are the differences, in 1992 edition of Grolier:
DOS version has video clips but no animations.
Windows version has animations but no video clips.
Mac version has both video clips and animations.
(Video clips are short movies, e.g. Kennedy inaugural speech. Animations are
annotated graphic sequences of e.g. pumping heart.)
I know because I wrote the manuals for all 3 versions.
Well… OK but the Software Toolworks Multimedia for Windows that is sitting
in my drive right now has both videos AND animations… but I haven't read
the manual… <g>

And that means that the Groliers and Software Toolworks CDs are **not** the
same (as most people keep saying).

There were two versions on the Windows discs'. The first release did not have
videos, since it was before the final rollout of VFW. The second release added
the VFW movies.
In my first message, I forgot about DOS not having the animations.
