If the SoundBlaster 16 ASP doesn't lock you into one drive manufacturer like the SBPro did, it might be a good thing. BTW – All caps is akin to shouting, and is difficult to read for most — perhaps you could locate your capslock and disenage it? 🙂

The 16 uses the same proprietary port and system as the SB Pro, alas.

Jack, do you have the Mitsumi connected toa Sound Blaster Sound card? I have the SB pro, and have heard reversing the wires on the 4 pin connector will work, but I'm not sure which way the wires go. reverse the grey wires or switch the grey and white ones, or what? Thanx, ER.

Sorry, I've never even seen a Mitsumi, and I wouldn't connect diddly to that bastardized SCSI port on the SB Pro (although somebody makes an adapter for it–maybe someone here can say who). I run everything off a BusLogic 742A dedicated SCSI card and just connect the audio out to the SoundBlaster Pro via the rear ports and RCA to mini stereo plugs.
