I am having a problem that with saving Icons I create in the Icon Editor in WorkBench 3.0. I create my Icon save it and it saves it with all of the blank space around it, basically it is the size of the editor window. When I create it I put it in the top left & don't even use the other side of the window.Sometimes it gets saved and looses all of it color, reverts to black. I have been able to do this before, but now ??? I saved the icons as images and loaded them with DPaint then saved them as brushes minus the extra space. But when I load it back in the editor and save it it pads it with all the extra space again. I am saving them as Drawers/Images with two seperate images so I have a different look when you click it. It has just stumped me why I am having so much trouble. I even tried cliping them out of the window then choose to start a new Icon and past the clip in… Any ideas or have I confused everyone with my ramblings? Thanks, -Jim

Jim, Your not goning crazy, the 2.x/3.0 Icon Editor is supposed to auto size to remove the blank space around your inage but it has a bug! It works fine as long as you are "Backfill" or "Complement" but in "Image" mode… >I am saving them as Drawers/Images with two seperate images so I have a different look when you click it. … exactly what you are doing, it doesn't work! I use IconMaster V3.0 by John Scheib. It is a much better progam! You must get it directly from John as he sends you a custom disk with your name and address coded into the program! Hi Jim I've experienced the same problem on my a1200.I've been fooling around with icons and brushes for ToolManager v2.1 (neat program!)and always have that problem.I also tend to lose the black color in my Brushes when I bring in to DP IV (to correct the other problem)and then back to the Iconeditor.

It makes you mad doesn't it 🙁 I have been screwing around with it for awhile. If I try to save it as Compliment or Backfill it instantly turns the icon black and saves it that way. I am going to find out what is causing it because it may have done it before once or twice, now it is every single time. I have a feeling it is because of something I installed. What it may be >>>> I have no idea, but that has got to be it. Talk to ya later. -Jim
